VIDEO ARTIST & LIVE VIDEO MAPPING

Since 2005, Ionee has participated in different festivals around the world. As a VJ  for electronic music, she has made videos for and performed live with DJs such as Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, George Palmer, Joseph Capriati, Rossko, Vanjee, Yaya, Antonio Pica, Ellen Allien, amongst others.

She has also created Visuals for the Venezuelan National Symphony Orchestra as well as visuals for artists such as Ky-Mani Marley, Shaggy, Pato Machete, Celso Piña, Sizzla, Cultura Profetica, Alborosie, Gondwana, Busy Signal, Midnight, Junior Kelly, A.N.I.M.A.L, Shalom Vibration, Pixies, La Mala Rodriguez, Andy Montañez, Gondwana, Grupo Manía, Grupo Niche, Ismael Serrano, Jerry Rivera, and Cactus.

She has done video mapping for festivals and brands including Mercedes Benz, DirecTV, Fox, Absolute Vodka, Red Bull as well as virtual stages and video mapping for theater. She has served as a VJ for festivals, fashion shows, and events, such as Partai, ExpoSexo, HolyFest, Vancouver Fashion Week, DirecTV, and Fox Events.

 

Her video art has been featured at the Andy Warhol Museum in NY, the Museum of contemporary Art of Caracas, Venezuela, and many private galleries and venues.

In 2012, Ionee started teaching VJ and Video Mapping courses at the Metropolitan University of Caracas, Venezuela, which was the first class of this kind in a university in Latin America. In 2013, she organized the first Digital Art Festival in Venezuela, called Señal Abierta, at the Museum of contemporary Art of Caracas. In 2016, she was awarded the BEST VJ AWARD at the Union Rock Show.

 

Ionee was born in Los Angeles, and was raised between Milan, Italy and Caracas, Venezuela. She studied Film and Fine Arts at the UCLA Film School, during which time she participated in the art project “The Incubator” at the LA Brewery.
